Welcome to The Benjamin Foundation's new homepage!

Our Mission: To fight for those who cannot fight for themselves. We advocate for Father's Rights in the State of Washington. We also work in Restorative Justice Advocacy, and Domestic Violence Victim Advocacy. We work in Victim/Offender Advocacy in an effort to reestablish community bonds, trust and faith between victims and offenders within similar communities. We work in Children's Advocacy, in an effort to mitigate the harm which is often caused to children involved in divorce and separations, as well as in situations of abuse and violence.

We provide mediation services to both fathers and mothers who wish to resolve the complicated and delicate issues regarding children and custody and residential time, following a divorce or separation. It is our hope that through our guidance and assistance fathers and mothers can find a way to maintain a respectful and functional and courteous relationship for the sake of their children, without the necessity of court intervention. We provide guidance and assistance throughout the process of divorce and separation, facilitation and guidance in the preparation of court forms and filings, explanations as to the processes involving the court, and assistance in preparation of parenting plans and parentage actions. We further provide referrals to local attorneys who specialize in Family Law, as well as counselors and other professionals who may provide additional services and guidance throughout the process of a divorce or a separation. We provide these services to both fathers and mothers in an effort to provide the best options and alternatives to court actions, in order to preserve the foundational elements of family, with a focus on the health of children who require both fathers and mothers as a foundation to their social and emotional development from infancy throughout adolescence. It is our hope, that through support, donations, and fundraising, that we will be able to provide legal assistance to fathers who are unable to bear the financial costs associated with attorney's fees and court costs, who wish to be reunited with their children. We also hope to legislate for changes in laws within the State of Washington, in an effort to address the element of "equality" within the law, and a recognition of father's rights to equal access to their children. The Benjamin Foundation's purpose is to ensure that children are able to experience a childhood with both parents, and that equal access to their children is available to both fathers and mothers alike.

As a way to further the efforts of other organizations working towards helping others, we at The Benjamin Foundation work to support the following: The Wounded Warrior Project, The Sgt. David Coullard Memorial Fund, The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and Rolling Thunder. We have also started our own foundation, in honor of the seven lives lost at Robert's Ridge. The foundation is named after the engagement, and The Robert's Ridge Foundation was established to help the children of soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. These are only a few of the organizations we currently help to support. More organizations will be added to our list as we grow. Please visit our Ebay store and our Etsy store, and check back for updates on our new launch for our Fallen Hero Bracelets website. Please take a look at our Robert's Ridge page to get further details on Robert's Ridge, and the brave few men who gave their lives so that we might live in a world filled by dreams of freedom and liberty.

Thank you for visiting our new Internet site. As an up-to-date not-for-profit corporation, we want to give you the opportunity to stay in touch with our foundation and the services we offer and provide to those in need. It is our intention to never turn away a father in need of help, and we hope to be able to (in the near future) facilitate parenting plans and mediation of custody and family law related issues. Since we are a non-profit corporation, we survive only on donations from those who support our cause or wish to be a part of such crusading efforts for equality in the State of Washington. Donations do not pay salaries or provide sustaining income for any members of the board, or contributors or advisers or facilitators within our foundation, but rather go towards mitigating the costs of legal representation whenever necessary for father's who cannot afford the costs of legal representation. Donations also go towards helping keep this site up and running, and providing for some of the costs of the items offered in our site store, such as the "Benjamin" bracelet. A new content management system will enable us to always keep you up to date.

At present, our web site is still under construction. We are making an effort to present you with our entire spectrum of services offered as soon as possible. At this point we can provide you with information regarding ways to support our cause through donations and/or purchase of items available through our site store. The emphasis of our site is on Father's Rights, and advocating for changes in policies and statutes through legislature, and their legal application, implementation and interpretation by the Courts throughout the State of Washington to insure that Father's retain and receive the same considerations, benefits, rights of access and equal time to their children as Mothers within our state currently receive. This topic is certainly of interest to you. Check this site later, please; we are constantly updating content and material.

In the meantime you can reach us at (425) 312-DADS [3237] or (781) 629-9510 or (253) 459-3096 and by fax at [not currently available]. If you are not familiar with our foundation and your first contact with us is online: We would be pleased to hear from you! Please let us know what your needs and questions are, your unique circumstances, the issues you are facing and what difficulties you have encountered throughout your separation or divorce; we will be more than happy to help or direct you to someone who will be able to further facilitate your needs. Check out our FORUM page to see stories from other fathers who have experienced the same heartache, and fought the same battles. If possible, support our foundation and our cause through a donation or the purchase of a "Benjamin" bracelet. It is not a requirement, but simply a consideration based upon financial circumstances. We understand the costs involved in the legal battles which often ensue following a separation and divorce, and for many fathers, those costs are excessive and beyond what is affordable. It is our hope to be able to provide an alternative or mitigate those costs to some degree through our donations and support, so that fathers may be reunited with their children, not on the terms of the courts, or the terms of their children's mothers, but on amicable and equal terms conducive to the health and stability of both parents and children. Our intention is to provide the services and help necessary to facilitate every attempt by every father in the State of Washington to be reunited with his children, regardless of economic circumstance, or any complications which may have previously arisen throughout any divorce or separation. Our focus is solely upon the health and safety and welfare of Washington's children, recognizing that children require both fathers and mothers to be active in their lives throughout their childhood as a foundation for proper emotional and social development.

In brief, you should know the following about us: our foundation was established in 2009 to address advocacy for victim's of violence, with a focus on domestic violence, women, children and minorities. In 2010, the focus of the foundation was altered to address advocacy for father's rights in Washington State, due to the founder's own experience with being denied access to his son by his son's mother during and after a separation, and learning that father's rights are not recognized in the State of Washington. Through our sister foundation, LAW: Legal Advocacy for Victim's of Violence, we continue to address advocacy efforts for victim's of violence, restorative justice, and the protections for women, children and minorities who have found themselves the victim's of domestic violence. It is the hope and intention of the founders, to be able to provide services to families in Washington State, in an effort to preserve the dignity of all those involved in a divorce and separation, with a focus on the emotional health of the children involved, and equal access to both parents as a foundation to their children's health and future wellbeing.
